Announcements, Schedules, and FRQs
Preseason preparation is in full force! Morning golf team workouts are Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6am. 9th Graders are allowed, but not required, to come. We meet in the cardio room upstairs just south of the big gym. We are focusing on building muscle memory and strength specific to golf and overall fitness. Tuesday and Thursday after school we meet in 2301 or at the course (weather permitting) and work on swing and putting drills. Come prepared with putters and chippers on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Every day you will probably want to have work-out clothes, especially morning. We do have a private morning locker room with showers to help you get ready for the day with other sports using morning times as well.
Summer Roosevelt Trip:
We plan on going to Roosevelt golf course this summer again for a 3 day long golf fest. Students who are attending the preseason activities are invited to attend. This year we will also run the Green River as part of the trip to build team spirit. Each day you come to preseason activities you earn points toward being invited to Roosevelt and Top Golf day. This is a preseason activity and is optional but is ALWAYS a lot of fun. Midnight golf to 100+ holes a day. Fathers are invited; they are responsible for their hotel and food--team covers golf! Tentative schedule looks to be June 15-17th. Mark you schedules.

New State RPI qualifications: According to the PGA, we will be taking 6 course of the total that we play that have over 6500 yards. Based upon the average team scores of all six courses, that will determine all 6A state qualifiers. This means our regions may take more than the 4 from last year or possibly less. Currently, this means that scores matter at Valley View, Gleneagle, Schineiters, Hubbard, SunHills, Davis??/Remuda??? (not long enough but may be able to move them back)
